Overview
Use a Wagner FURNO heat gun to soften the wax on a candle and press in your favorite embellishments to create decorative holiday candles with a unique, festive look.
Instructions
Gather Supplies
To create decorative holiday candles, we used the FURNO 300 heat gun, white pillar candles, and various embellishments.
Step #1
Organize Embellishments
We cut up the faux mistletoe so we had smaller pieces to work with.
Step #2
Set Up a Work Station
Make sure to protect the surface you are working on. We placed a towel down and used a baking sheet as a tray. We also covered the base the candles came in with foil to prop up the candle. Then, you can plug in your heat gun!
Step #3
Soften the Wax
Use your heat gun to soften the candle wax.
Step #4
Add Embellishments
Press in one embellishment at a time. Reheat areas as needed to make sure it’s secure and be patient! Hold the heat far enough away from the piece to avoid burning.
Step #5
Display for Thanksgiving
You can customize your decorative holiday candles to fit Thanksgiving, such as this gorgeous cinnamon and pinecone blend that can work for the entire fall and winter season.
Step #6
Display for Christmas
You can also create candles specifically for Christmas by using red and green! Add it to your mantle, shelves, or use as a centerpiece!
